Our SCOPE team and World Obesity Clinical Care Committee Chair, Dr Ada Cuevas will host an important session on obesity and women’s health, and the importance of improving patient care through medical education. In line with this year's World Obesity Day (4 March) theme 'Let’s talk about obesity and...', we will focus on the health aspect of the campaign, also linking it to the upcoming International Women’s Day on 8 March. The webinar will explore obesity and women’s health and the impact of obesity during the women's lifespan, including on pregnancy, fertility and menopause. Dr Cuevas will discuss the global prevalence, best practices in treatment and where this field is heading. Attendees will be directed to additional resources by our Education Team to enhance their knowledge and understanding, including related SCOPE E-Learning modules. World Obesity Day is an international campaign that takes place each year on 4 March with the goal of stimulating and supporting practical actions that will help people achieve and maintain a healthy weight and reverse the global obesity crisis. During this webinar you will also learn more about World Obesity Day and this year’s theme, ‘Let’s talk about obesity and…’ to understand the link between important subjects such as our world, youth and health.
